The Supreme Court has denied bail for murder defendant, Edward Ulberg charged in the murder of his pregnant wife.

Ulberg of Vailoa is facing seven criminal charges including the killing of his unborn child.

His Attorney, Tofilau Leone Su’a-Mailo confirmed that bail was denied by Acting Chief Justice, Vui Clarence Nelson.

Ulberg has entered a plea of not guilty through his lawyer to the criminal charges last month.

He is scheduled to be re-mentioned in the Supreme Court on 7 March to set a hearing date.

Ulberg of Vailoa Faleaata was arrested in November for allegedly stabbing his wife to death.

Aside from the murder charge, the charge sheet for the defendant indicated that he also faces actual bodily harm; assault; armed with a dangerous weapon; grievous bodily harm; manslaughter and killing his unborn child.
