The Meteorology weather update is now available on the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment website, while the meteorology office work on reviving the MET office website.
This was confirmed by MET Minister, Toesulusulu Cedric Schsuter.
As reported earlier, information from officials of the Samoa Meteorology office their website has been down for the last three weeks and they suspect the website has been hacked.
Minister Toesulusulu said that a Japanese volunteer set up the website is working remotely with their MET IT who were trained to manage the website.
“For now they are working to upload the weather information on the MNRE website until the MET website is up and running again, said Minister Toesulusulu.
This morning MET office employees dropped off the weather bulletins for the radio stations for announcement purposes, given that Samoa is under the tropical cyclone season which is from November 2021 to April 2022.
