Digicel’s winner for the pimped up 2021 Ford Ranger truck is Tiresa Mata’afa of Leulumoega Tuai.

A pastor’s wife, Mrs Mata’afa drove away in the Ford Ranger on Friday. During the ceremony, she thanked Digicel for gifting her the car and all the glory goes to God for his blessings.

Established in Samoa in 2006, the country’s only Digital Operator, launched its massive Christmas campaign valued at $300,000 tala from November last year and closed entries in January 9 2022.

The mother from Fasitoo was unaware she was winner, her enveloped enclosed a paper indicating that she won a cake.

More than 30 of Digicel’s customers walked away prizes including play stations, hampers, cash prizes washing machines; cell phones and tablets.

The mother was then asked to cut the cake and in the midst of cutting the cake, she found the car keys.

In a press released issued earlier, Digicel Samoa CEO, Seiuli Deepak Khanna said they had upgraded the 2021 Ford Ranger by custom building it and giving it mud tyres and lifted the height of the truck which gives it a very dramatic look. As well accessories like sports bar, front bull bar, side steps and amped up the sound system. The front lights have also been upgraded. The Ranger looks sportier than before with the addition of racing stripes that run from the front to the back of the truck.
