The hospital’s clinical services are closed until further notice, including the Eye, Dermatology, ENT and Surgery, Internal Medicine, Orthopaedics Family Planning and Endoscopy clinics.

The Paediatric Clinic and the High Risk Antenatal Clinics will remain open.

This is according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health. The Paediatric Clinic has been merged with the General Outpatients Service and operates out of the ground floor of the Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital Emergency building.

“Emergency Services will remain open and operate 24-7.”

Endorsed by Director General, Leausa Dr Take Naseri, the MOH discourages the genera; public from visiting the hospital for minor ailments and non life threatening conditions.

“Other procedures such as the changing of urine catheters, daily dressings and other procedures will be referred to the community outreach staff and district hospitals.

“Other series such as operating theatre and Radiology will still be opened to Emergency operations and urgent investigations only. The pharmaceutical service operations will remain 24-7 as usual.

“We urge the public to continue to take all other preventive measures when visiting the hospitals at all times.
