The former Corporate Manager for the Fire and Emergency Services Authority Faafetai Alisi is taking FESA to court over claims that her contract was unlawfully terminated.

Alisi was suspended last December, pending an investigation by the Ombudsman at that time into allegations relating to the misappropriation of funds and other matters of misconduct.

The former Manager confirmed with Radio Polynesia that she has retained Kirstin Kruse of the Drake’s law firm for legal representation.

Alisi was initially represented by Faualo Harry Schuster who is now the Minister of FESA.

The former Manager said she’s compelled to sue the Government to clear her name as actions taken by the FESA Board of Directors were allegedly unlawful.

Alisi declined to further comment and referred queries to her newly retained lawyer, but Ms Kruse hast yet to respond to an email from Radio Polynesia.

The FESA Commissioner, Tanuvasa Petone Mauga, declined to comment when contacted by the Radio Polynesia and referred queries to the Chairman of the FESA Board Chairman Muaausa Joseph Walter

The Samoa Observer has contacted Ms. Alisi for comments via email but received no response by press time. Attempts to seek comment from Mr. Lokeni have also been unsuccessful.
