The Ministry of Police are investigating the death of a 20 year old girl from Saleapaga.
Acting Police Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo confirmed the investigation in response to questions from Radio Polynesia.
He said that preliminary investigation shows that its self inflicted, however an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Auapaau said any death case, the police treats it like a homicide until its proven otherwise.
He declined to give out other details on the incident noting the matter is under investigation.
