Police and FESA search teams have recovered one of the two bodies of the young men that drowned in Samalaeulu on Sunday.

Deputy Police Commissioner, Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo told Radio Polynesia last night, they found one body yesterday.

He said a diving team from the Ministry of Police and Prisons was sent to Savaii early Monday morning, to assist FESA with the search.

Auapaau said the two boys are cousins.

The Acting Police Commissioner also appealed to members of the public to heed the warnings sent out by the Weather Stations, that when it's bad weather, overflow of banks, the public needs to stay away from streams, waterfalls and the ocean.

He concluded by acknowledging the support of the F.E.S.A. since the search started on Sunday.
