The Ministry of Police and Prisons confirm the investigation of a break -in at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office last week.
This was confirmed by Deputy Police Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo in response to questions from Radio Polynesia. He declined on further details noting that investigations are ongoing.
However the Deputy Prime Minister, Tuala Iosefa Ponifasio says the female suspect in question was an office assistant and had since been sacked from her job for removing $950 from his desk.
He also confirmed the movement were also captured on the CCTV inside his office.
Tuala says the matter had since been referred to the Ministry of Police and Prisons for investigation and possible criminal prosecution.
