Radio Polynesia very own live stream app on apple app store went live yesterday.

This has been in the pipeline for months, in addition to the Digicel’s goLoud App and PlayStore go Google which can be downloaded for free.

Marketing Manager Laulu Gloria Takzawa said these days everyone has access to a smart device and given the uncertainty of COVID-19 information is vital hence the Radio station’s move to invest in an app to allow the listeners locally and overseas totune into the radio station any time and anywhere.

Also it affords the opportunity for the local businesses to market their products to overseas listeners as an added bonus.

Adding that more businesses are experimenting with live streaming and the benefits that it provides for not only the business, but for consumers as well.

Owned by the Late Mapusua Rudolf Keil, Radio Polynesia was established in 1989, and it consists of five Radio Stations, Star, Magic, Talofa, Malo and Klite, and its operated from the Savalalo Headquarters in Apia.

Laulu said: “during the lockdown, three of their stations, Talofa, Malo & Magik FM were active in disseminating the latest updates for COVID to the public.

We understand that during these stressful times, people wanted to be kept in the loop and they want correct information so we’ve given our people easy access to our Magik FM station.”

Adding this will also open the market for local businesses to expand
