The Auala Primary School floors will receive a facelift with new tiles thanks to the Germany’s Counsel office to Samoa, led by Representative Stefan Szegedi.

In addition to that the school also received five laptops and wash sinks for the 100 + students of Auala Primacy in Savai’i.

In a statement issued indicated the value of donation amounted to more than $21,000.

In addition to the donation from the Government of Germany, the Lodge Calliope 252 also donated shoes for students of Auala.

Mr Szegedi noted that COVID-19 has brought about many challenges and disruptions to the Education sector of Samoa.

“As a result with the support of the Government of Germany we must all work together and provide assistance to schools like with Auala Primary School so that we can overcome whatever challenges COVID-19 puts in our way.”

Associate Minister of the Ministry of Works and Transport, of Vaisigano No.1 Niuava Fata Eti was appreciative of the assistance provided by the Government of Germany.

Noting they are blessed to have people willing to donate for the improvement of the school environment and they believe that putting it in the right facilities that gives the students every opportunity to learn is one key pillars that determines success.
