A man and woman spotted by police at one of their checkpoints using a fake NEOC pass to drive around, have been charged in relation to drugs paraphernalia allegedly found in their possession.
The police discovered glass pipes commonly used to smoke ice in the car they were driving.
The pair are jointly charged, with possession of utensils; this was confirmed Acting Police Commissioner Auapa'au Logoitino Filipo in response to questions from Radio Polynesia.
The incident occurred during the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
Questions pertaining to what other illegal substance found, were not answered as Auapa’au declined to divulge further information noting the investigation is on going.
