A traffic accident at Tiavi before noon today, took two lives. These are unconfirmed reports from an eye witness.
Mrs Naite Tevaga told Radio Polynesia the Police Dyna truck was already parking with wheels up, several meters away from the main road, at Tiavi.
The witness stopped her vehicle to help but it was too late.
One of the men died at the scene, while the other man was stuck underneath the truck, believed to have also died, says the eye witness.
The two who were sitting at the back of the truck died at the site while the other two at the front survive with serious injuries.
She left the scene at about 1pm, when finally Fire Emergency Services Authority arrived.
