The leader of the Human Rights Protection Party Tuilaepa Dr Sailele Malielegaoi was admitted to the Tupua Tamasese Meaole hospital on Thursday night.

Health officials told Radio Polynesia the former Prime Minister was admitted with a fever into the Intensive Care Unit, however he’s in a stable condition.

Efforts were made to comments from the HRPP whip, Lealailepule Rimoni Aiafi for comments but calls were not answered.

The former Prime Minister held a press conference with media on Thursday afternoon, which was recorded live, at the HRPP headquarters.

He is 76 years old.
